G4C Student Challenge Winners

For the 2015-2016 academic year, the Institute of Play partnered with Games for Change on the G4C Student Challenge, teaching middle-and high-school students in NYC about game design, and how games can be used to promote social good.

Last month, at an awards ceremony at the Museum of the Moving Image, G4C announced the 11 winners of the challenge, across 5 categories: Animal Welfare, Smart Cities, Youth Justice, Civic Journalism and Literacy. Check out the winning games below.

We’re so proud of the students and their creations, and very excited about working with G4C again on the upcoming Student Challenge!

A workshop we held at the Museum of the Moving Image, for teachers taking part in the challenge.
