Gaming to Learn Engineering & Design: SimCity in a 7th Grade Science Classroom

Seth is the Director of Education & Evaluation at Institute of Play. He has worked in educational measurement, assessment and evaluation for over ten years and has taught elementary, middle and high school science and mathematics.
Patricia is an Education and Technology Curriculum Integration Specialist with 24 years of experience as a middle school educator. Innovating and building programs from scratch, she has made strong contributions in the areas of special education, math, science, language arts, social studies, and technology.
Julie has taught middle school students in independent schools for 6 years. She currently works as a technology coordinator at Oregon Episcopal School, managing the 1:1 laptop program and working to support teachers as they integrate technology into their curriculum.
Robert is the Education Coordinator for the Achievers program at the Museum of Science and Industry, working with teens to connect them to next generation careers. Before coming to MSI he worked in Chicago’s Bronzeville and West Englewood communities developing programming for Chicago public high school students.
Darrell is a Curriculum Developer for the Digital Youth Network at DePaul University. After teaching middle and high-school for over ten years the one thing Darrell knows for sure is that the kids are smart.
